Make Electronic Payments

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the Equity-League Benefit Funds Fund Office is now operating with a skeleton staff in it is Times Square office, and that office location may soon shut down altogether. In order to continue to serve our contributing employers, we must make a change to a completely electronic method for receiving remittance reports and payments. Therefore, effective with payments/reports due April 15 and thereafter, we will require that reports and payments be transmitted to us electronically, for all three Funds: Pension, Health and 401(k). However, we’d really appreciate it if you could begin submitting electronically even sooner, so that more of our staff can work more safely from home.

Fortunately, we have been receiving electronic reports and payments from many employers for several years, so are well experienced in this area. And submitting electronically is a simple process to implement, with virtually no cost to you.

How To Submit Electronic Reports

Going forward, reports need to be submitted via our secure emailing system “MailGate”. “MailGate” meets our security standards for transmitting sensitive data, as well as HIPAA requirements. The reports are in a spreadsheet format, in Microsoft Excel. Your Equity League Representative will be happy to help you create an account on “MailGate” in the event one has not already been established. Submitting Contributions

We believe the simplest and most cost -effective way to submit your contributions electronically is via ACH, which assures that payments are received promptly and credited to the members accordingly. To help Equity-League Benefit Funds identify your ACH transaction, please include the 10-digit Actors’ Equity agreement number. Also include the name of the show and the week ending date associated with each payment.

             *Even though the name of the account is “Equity-League Health Account” we are asking that all contributions – pension, health, and 401(k) – be sent to this one account. We normally receive payments for multiple contributions with one check, so we are already equipped to handle this administrative task.

Important: Never send Actors’ Equity dues payments to the Equity-League Benefit Funds account. The Actors’ Equity is a separate legal entity from the Equity-League Benefit Funds. You must submit any working dues payments directly to Actors’ Equity in which they can provide you with instructions as how you can make electronic payments to their organization.

The Equity-League Benefit Funds accepts electronic ACH payments submitted directly to our bank accounts. This capability helps ensure that your payments are received in a timely and efficient manner.

The average charge for an ACH transaction ranges between $.19 and $.26, depending on the bank, which is cheaper than postage. The estimated time for your transaction to post is approximately 24-48 hours.

To help Equity-League Benefit Funds identify your ACH transaction, please include the 10-digit Actors’ Equity ID number that we have provided you. Also include the name of the show and the week ending date associated with each payment.
