About Us

The Equity-League Benefit Funds provide these benefits to actors and stage managers who are Actors’ Equity members:

  • Health (medical, dental, vision and supplemental workers’ compensation),
  • Pension (lifetime monthly income), and
  • 401(k) (accounts in which to accumulate tax deferred income in a variety of investment vehicles).

We are:

  • not-for-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide benefits to eligible Actors’ Equity members.
  • completely separate entity from  the Actors’ Equity.
  • Focused on assuring that every dollar we receive is used to benefit plan participants.
  • Jointly managed by Trustees appointed in equal number by the Actors’ Equity and the Broadway League,  the latter representing all of the hundreds of employers who contribute to the Funds.

Because we are a separate entity from Actors’ Equity, information that may be critical to both organizations is stored separately by each organization, who for confidentiality reasons do not share this information with each other. Therefore, contact and similar information must be provided separately to Actors’ Equity and Equity-League Benefit Funds.

Equity-League Benefits Funds' Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement:

The Funds are committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. We celebrate our employees’ range of experiences and talents. We also encourage a culture that values differences in age, disability status, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, language, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, among other categories.

We are strongly opposed to all forms of bullying, harassment, and discrimination of any kind. Instead, we seek to establish and maintain an environment that feels affirming, safe, and fair for all employees. We commit to regularly reviewing our practices and policies to support this vital and empowering work.

We acknowledge and respect that we do our work on the island of Manahatta in Lenapehoking, the homeland of the Lenape, an offspring of the Algonquin civilization, on what is now called Manhattan in New York, NY. We honor the Lenape peoples and their continuing presence in the homeland.
