The Equity-League Heath Benefit Fund uses OptumRx, one of the largest Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBM) in the country,  to provide outpatient prescription drugs to Plan participants who elect the Cigna Medical benefit.

OptumRx offers a network of approximately 67,000 retail pharmacies nationwide, including all of the major pharmacy chains, such as Walgreens and CVS, and thousands of neighborhood pharmacies. This same network is available whether you need to fill a 30 day prescription, or the 90 day prescriptions that are required by the Plan for maintenance medications (medications you take long term).

However, you may be able to save time and money by obtaining your maintenance medications through the mail, via OptumRx’s own home delivery service. This service offers a number of benefits, including OptumRx’s Automatic Refill Program.

That program is an easy way to get automatic refills for the medications you take regularly. When it is time to refill your prescriptions, they will contact you to let you know your order will ship soon – and there is no charge for shipping. They will then bill your approved payment method on file for any required copays, and send a 3-month supply right to your door.

To sign up for automatic home delivery, simply go to optumrx.com, set up your account and then sign in. You can also order medications over the phone, at 800-797-9791.If you choose to call, please have the following items ready: 1) your doctor’s contact information, 2) names and strengths of current medications, and 3) payment information.

OptumRx also offers an app to help you fill you prescriptions, which you can obtain by searching for OptumRx in the Apple_ App Store_ or Google PlaySM.
