Investment Options
What you need to know
It’s up to you to make investment decisions for your 401(k) account. You can make or change your investment elections for future contributions or transfer existing amounts from one investment fund to another at any time. If you don’t elect an investment fund, Equity-League will invest your 401(k) in the Plan’s default investment option, which are target date funds (see below).
Your investment account
To manage and monitor your 401(k) investments by phone or online, you’ll need to set up your personal identification number (PIN) with John Hancock Retirement Plan Services. You can establish your PIN once your 401(k) account receives its first contribution. Here’s how:
- Visit the John Hancock Retirement Plan Services website.
- Click Register here.
- Provide the requested information on the New User Registration page.
Be sure to safeguard your PIN.
To change your investment options by phone, call (833) 388-6466.
Although John Hancock retirement representatives can give you information about the investment options available to you, they cannot give you investment advice. You may wish to consult with a financial advisor for additional guidance.
Investment fund options
John Hancock Retirement Plan Services offers a variety of investment options for your 401(k) account. If you don’t elect an investment fund, Equity-League will invest your 401(k) in the target date fund that most closely aligns with your age, with the assumption that you will retire at 65.
Target date funds are professionally managed portfolios of investments that align with the year a person is expected to retire.
For details about the investment funds, review the Pension Plan and 401(k) Plan Summary Plan Description. To request additional information about specific investment options, contact John Hancock Retirement Plan Services online or by phone.
You can invest your 401(k) account in increments of 1%. For additional information about your fund options, log in to the John Hancock Retirement Plan Services website.
