Enrolling in Your Health Coverage
What you need to know
Once you have earned eligibility for health coverage, it’s easy to take action. Visit the Self-Service Portal.
Ready to enroll now?
You can enroll for coverage or change existing coverage—including adding or dropping dependent coverage—when:
- You first become eligible—or reinstate your coverage after requalifying for it—through covered employment
- You experience a life event, such as marriage, birth, relocation, death, disability, etc.

Before enrolling
- Review your medical plan options.
- If you choose to enroll in the Cigna medical plan, there are no forms to complete.
- If you choose an HMO plan, you’ll need to complete the enrollment application for the HMO you choose.
- If you want dental coverage, review your dental plan options.
Important: The Dental HMO (DHMO) offers network coverage only, and you must choose a primary care dentist in the Cigna DHMO network while enrolling. Otherwise, one will be assigned to you. Be sure to complete the dental enrollment form, and send it to the Fund Office. - Review your premium costs.
- If you’re enrolling dependents and/or a spouse or domestic partner, review the documents you’ll need to provide.
- Visit the Self-Service Portal to enroll. You can use a debit or credit card to pay.
