What you need to know
Starting April 1, 2025, the Health Plan will cover in-network services 100% through Mount Sinai provided at the Samuel Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts for those with Cigna health coverage. You won’t pay anything!
Health Plan participants with Tier 1 or Tier 2 Cigna coverage will be able to receive primary in-network care at the Health Center at no cost to you—there are no copays, coinsurance or deductibles to meet.
Health Plan participants who are eligible for Medicare can also use the Health Center, but you will still be subject to Medicare cost-sharing rules for office visits since Medicare is your primary coverage.
Benefit Overview
The Health Plan is proud to offer a no-cost health benefit option in New York City. Participants can get top-quality care from Mount Sinai doctors at the Samuel J. Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts, and you won’t be charged a copay for your visit.
The Center is conveniently located in Times Square and offers many services in one location with same- or next-day appointments available—including primary care, urgent care, podiatry, sports medicine, gynecology, specialty referrals, and more. They even have extended weekday and weekend hours to accommodate live performance schedules.
The Health Center sees patients who are 18 years of age and older, but their physicians will see young performers who are under the age of 18 and who work in entertainment and performing arts.
Our partnership with Mount Sinai is designed to offer our participants a better healthcare experience, focused on treating you as a whole person, and actively working with you to keep you healthy instead of merely treating you when you’re sick.
The team of health professionals at the Health Center work together to provide a new, expanded type of care to patients. It’s called a medical home, and it feels like having an old-style family doctor, but with a team of professionals, working together and working with you to provide the best possible personalized and coordinated care. And, as an active member of the team, you will have a chance and the time to explain the things that are really important to you.
